Pics up from bloodandvelvet Friday. Having availed myself of the amazing new technology known as a "pen," I got all the names this time. I set the camera to "neutral" (low saturation) and I like the results a lot (though I upped the saturation on a few).

I left the camera at some_fox's on Saturday, but eyeliner297 will be grabbing it from spikeylady at Betty Ford on Friday. I probably won't be there as arkady will be freshly back from Wales, but she will be collecting souls in my name.

redcountess and I have been reacquainting ourselves and trying not to get on each other's exhausted or jetlagged nerves. The house is slowly becoming more houselike. We are now looking through Ikea pr0n. Mmm, pr0n. When we get my stuff (the very last of my stuff from Perth — FREE AT LAST!) and Arkady's stuff digested by the house, there'll be another twenty-odd boxes and cases of Liz's arriving in a few months. Perhaps I'll build a third storey on the house. And a fourth.

If he wants to get a tiny shiny Ixus, by the way, the 800 IS is actually better than its supposed successor, the 850 IS. The 900Ti is still the waaaaay 'l33t3st though.

Are you in the market for a new digital? I still have a couple of older Ixus 400 here to sell off - I can buy on eBay like a camera shark, but selling is such a PITA I'm just selling 'em at cost to good homes ;-)

The 400 is a bit old and noticeably slower than my 50 (the one I carry everywhere) and doesn't do quite as well in dim light. But I like the pictures out of it a lot more and it's famously regarded by Canon nerds as just about the Nicest Ixus Ever for picture quality. So it's probably not bad. Complete kit in box yours for £80, which is about what I paid. eBay going rate is about £80-120.

So you're free at last?! I'm laughing! Talk about a long time coming.

I now don't feel so bad that I've had possessions in storage in Perth for the past two years. I miss my books, my yellow velvet cushion from Whitby and my Prisoner DVDs (unopened), but an uncluttered life is also a joyful thing.
