Coughing up less rancid slime this evening. Dinner with sushidog at Wagamama Knightsbridge on Saturday was enough going out for me this weekend. Tip for those wanting to liquor her up: sake does the trick nicely. Oh, for a camera.

Ali and I spent the weekend trying to beat an Alcatel frog into submission on SuSE 8.0. Yet to get it working, but boy have we learnt a lot ... e.g., that SuSE and Alcatel both suck dingo balls.

The disks were handy. (And we didn't use YaST.) If we can't beat it into submission in short order, next stop is OpenBSD.

OBSD has a lot of strengths, but support for hardware doesn't seem to be one of them. I hope it works.

Dell Optiplex GX that Ali had lying around. I know the Ethernet and USB are supported, and that's all we need for this purpose.
