Today my new phone arrived, a Nokia 5140i. It's designed to be a bit more durable than [livejournal.com profile] arkady's horribly beat-up old 8210i. The keys are fiddly and the interface is questionable, but the useful feature of not literally falling apart in my pocket will be most welcome. And taking the same charger as my work phone.

Disreputable 8210i, shiny new 5140i.

NO, STILL NO BABY. But Tom has been keeping guard on Mummy:

My latest pack minion. I shall teach her how to be a cat!

I think the phrase "Who's the daddy" should be re-written as "When's the daddy"!

Good Tom though ;-P

Aww, cute.

It's like the cat is trying to hatch an egg.

Puss looks so content with her beach ball-sized pillow. Does she react to Freda's movements?

Tom is actually a he. He's my "grumpy old man" cat. He doesn't seem to be too bothered by her kicking, unlike the other cats who feel the need to prod back and end up playing feline-baby pat-a-cake with me stuck in the middle!

Your dead phone is just the same as my alive phone. Now I know what sort it is! Thank you!

Ohhhh. I had one of those, but he was a siamese. Decades after he went to the big catbox in the sky, I can still talk 'meseese.

He used to come sit in my cot and lick the hair on my head into what my mother called "proper circles."

A week of labour isn't weird, unfortunately. It's actually kind of good, if you have a cervix that needs time to stretch. But, I'm sure the midwives have told you that already. There'll be a baby when it's over, though. Really.

That's one happy kit. I suspect he'll be disappointed when the belly goes....umm, it is going to happen, this baby, I hope? You must be beginning to wonder yourselves, she's in no hurry to enter this world of ours (and who can blame her? I'm sure it's very nice where she is).

Well, technically her due date isn't until Sunday. She just decided to get started sooner - and now is taking her time about things. The midwife reckons this could go on for another week - or things could suddenly all start happening tonight; there's no way of telling.

If I'm still pregnant next week, she'll be the first of my children to go past her "due date" - ironic, given that I was really sure she'd be an April baby! Good job I didn't make any plans for this month....

I'd like a mobile, just once, that has at least token resistance to sweat and the lint in my jeans pockets. Because then, just maybe, I could use the same phone for more than one year.
