Monday night is Cocktail Night!
Sep. 24th, 2002 02:03 pmSee The Tasmanian Babes Fiasco by John Birmingham. See, Ali had been going through clothes she hardly wore, and I implored her not to throw out the black velvet cocktail dress. And she pointed out that we had all the ingredients for David's Special Martini, as drunk by me most Friday nights at Blue Velvet:
1 shot vodka
1 shot gin
half shot chartreuse
suitable quantity of vermouth (1 shot for beginners, half shot for the hardened or for IT workers)
Shake with ice, add a stuffed olive. *parp!* Two stuffed olives.
And another housemate, Kathryn, had a couple of friends who'd just arrived from Australia. Who had their Little Black Dresses with them. So those three changed for the occasion as well.
I feel this is a tradition that will need to be maintained. Put some effort in and commemorate the fallen condition of Western civilisation. A properly-maintained liquor stash is essential to civilised living.
