how to use it on Linux under Wine.

Aside from not being authorized to view that protected entry, I prefer logjam myself.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] bradhicks pointed out that if fan/slash/etc involves say Harry and Hermione doing the nasty it's technically child porn, so I can understand the witch-huntery. Especially since we're being bombarded with tasty underaged fruit at quite a few turns nowadays and shame on us if we don't just ignore it.

it's technically child porn

This is not a usage of "technically" that I am aware of? It's not actual child porn, and literature certainly isn't classed as child porn under US laws (the only thing that would be is images, if they are ruled to be obscene).

Anyway, LJ have admitted this isn't about child porn laws, but obscenity laws - but for some reason they are only concerned about material that they think depicts underage sex (so obscene adult content is still fine). Also they seem to be going after material that seems unlikely to ever be classed as obscene (e.g., I'm not sure when the last time literature was ruled illegal in the US?). Their definition of "underage" isn't simply children, but includes cases where the image depicts what most people would see as young adults who are not underage (e.g., see http://www.greatestjournal.com/users/ponderosa121/805.html - given that pornography is legal in the US, it seems hard to believe that the image linked from that post would ever be ruled obscene).

We're talking about the good ol' U.S. of fucking A. here, where seeing a nipple that hasn't been on this planet at least 18 years is a crime. Have you seen the lot in charge of this place?

...then claim the checks were stolen. See Coy whatever his name is in North Carolina.

Sex Apart must be guilty of something really heinous to be so upset about two fictional teenaged characters getting it on.

It's always that way with the religious fundies -- the more they rave against something in public, the more that's what they're doing in private.
