Saturday was Zombie Day and Sunday was Camden Shopping Day. I got Kimota: The Miracleman Companion from Mega City Comics (the story of a series started by Alan Moore and continued by Neil Gaiman, and unavailable worldwide because the trademark is tied up in knots. Aieee!) and issues 7, 9, 11 and 12 of Kaleidoscope from Resurrection Records. Kaleidoscope is as crappy as any goth fanzine, but does include a CD with every issue. If you're going to viciously slag off this modern rubbish, at least you can take the time to learn and slag it off by name. And make the occasional find along the way.

Oh, and £53 of Cointreau, sloe gin, Triple Sec and Malibu from the Wine Shop near Chalk Farm tube. A fantastically well-stocked off-licence for the cocktail drunk.

Took the ripped trousers back yesterday. The shop refused to refund and claimed that the 'no returns' notice covered defective goods as well. (Which is, ah, illegal.) I will, however, be stopping in this evening for one last try before going thermonuclear.

On Tuesday night, I plan to show at The Calling - probably arriving at Cambridge station around 10:15pm, crashing in Cambridge for the evening. Anyone wanting to hang out Wednesday daytime, get in touch.

Addendum, 1:04pm: No, I didn't get a bed, nor did I make it to Ikea for a chair. Must do both very soon indeed.

Hope you get the trousers changed - if they continue to stall contact Trading Standards and also tell the shop that you'll post your adverse experiences on every goth newsgroup you can find.

This may not greatly affect their sales but it'll give you a little bit of satisfaction knowing that you're putting the boot in!

One could almost accept this kind of attitude from a fly-by-night Delboy stall holder, but not an established shop.

*Good luck*

Gah!
The only thing i ever bought from dragstrip/black rose that was any good was a volleurs corset. Which they could hardly fuck up as they didn't make it.

Guess thats an object lesson to the rest of us not to buy stuff from there./

The quality of their clothes has deteriorated over the years - I guess quality is probably inversely proportional to the success of the shop / brand name. Make 'em cheap and pile them high sort of attitude.

I freely admit to having bought stuff there, but that's been a few years now too.
