I have a sick wife, a sick girlfriend and a sick daughter. I've been spending two days looking after them. AlphaBaby amuses Freda very efficiently and I only wish Liz's PowerBook hadn't died. Yesterday and today I have been doing housework in a desultory fashion and my back despises me.

Tomorrow I go back to work and mirrorshard will be popping over to be manly, etc. I suspect I'm on call again next week, meaning no B-Movie this month.

I have been listening to a huge pile of obscure post-punk, early goth and old school industrial. Most of it's obscure with good reason. From the industrial side, I'm liking Konstruktivits and Tasaday.

So the engine's going to be idle most of the time then briefly redlined? I wouldn't hold out much hope for its lifespan. And trying to make a gas turbine efficient strikes me as being doomed to failure - and believe me, up here we know a thing or two about being doomed.

It's fairly obviously boutique and experimental, and this sort of thing has to go through a long period of moron-proofing. During which the plain old petrol and diesel engines are still being improved as fast as possible. Compare how long it took for the Prius to hit the market, how Mazda went all-out with rotary engines before changing its mind and how Sarich engines still haven't hit production. Compare also hard disk replacements and Linux on the desktop.

I'm actually slightly glad you are not going to bmovie as I can't afford it (again). I should actually meert up with you at some point though as it's been far to long.
