It's my birthday week and it's good. Date with faithais unfortunately cancelled due to illness, bah! redcountess and arkady gave me Creative EP-630/A earphones, which are cheap but do the job very nicely. There's an extended rubber bit which both funnels the sound and blocks the outside world. Not quite Etymotics, but sound luvverly and help block the outside world.
Sunday at the pub went off splendidly. Arkady made a coffee and chocolate cake, using purple hundreds and thousands courtesy sclerotic_rings and czarina69:
I thought I'd said 7pm but evidently told Giggle calendar 5pm. Arkady, Freda and I made it there around six. Lots of people came along and I felt most congratulated on continuing to age.
Faith and Alex dragged mirrorshard and I (with about zero effort convincing) to ravenstoker's club night, Raven. Sadly almost empty, but we continued to drink even more and have a suitable time.
My goodness I was hung over yesterday.
