Freda and arkady are back from Wales. Freda just indicated she thought it was bedtime by climbing most of the way up the stairs. (I hovered behind just in case.) Arkady is going tomorrow to get a houseload of stair gates.

I was considering Bisexual Underground tomorrow, but will I think be spending a quiet evening in with my beautiful little terror. redcountess plans to go if well, though.

Apparently one of my tricks was to go all the way up to the top of the stairs and just wait there till someone found me because I couldn't get back down again. I'm not entirely sure why my parents didn't ever bother buying a baby gate, or otherwise attempt to barricade the stairs.

I was most pleased by her clear intention and determination. She made it most of the way up, then stuck there tired and a little scared, then I picked her up and took her downstairs and we all billed and cooed over her to show we approved. She'll be the sort of kid who's taken out on a leash just to stop her from running under a bus to say hello to the doggie across the road.
