My daughter is one year old today.

arkady give birth to Freda on our sitting room floor, ten minutes before the midwives made it here. One push, PLOOOSH! and she surfed out on a wave of amniotic fluid. I was, of course, the happiest daddy in history. IN HISTORY.
Today she reaped the benefit of three grandmothers and a step-grandmother. A huge pile of presents, most of which are fabulously tactile, make noises or both. She just had dinner (chili con carne with cream cheese on top) which she finished by putting her bowl on her head and all down her lovely velvet dress. Her mum is just icing her birthday cake.
I took tomorrow off so we could visit silverfiligree, but she's not well enough to receive visitors this week. So we'll send a letter, hope for Lisa to be up to visitors later, and spend the day with Freda.
