Wikipedia blog post on a new project.
On Monday, we went to Lisa (silverfiligree)'s funeral and wake. Standing room only. stevek considers it was a good sendoff. The lesson from the day is: spend time with your friends while you can. I'll be going to renewed effort to keep up with people. You should too.
arkady and Freda are off in Wales for the week and
redcountess and I are wondering what to do with ourselves and how to have conversations that aren't entirely composed of baby babble. The house should look tidier in a while, though.
Today I went for my rather delayed sexual health checkup, a procedure I recommend to all (those who whore around like me). I am pleased to say there was no actual dickscrape involved.

Date: 2008-06-04 07:42 am (UTC)I think this bot-assisted programme of article creation is a Good Thing for topics where we do in fact have the data. [...] (May I note that people whose objections are that this will artificially inflate the article count or make Special:Random annoying appear to have forgotten that we’re here to write an encyclopedia.)
I think it's a good thing too. Normally I hate bot-assisted article creation, but I usually see it in the form of this and this and this and this and this and this and this (and I could go on, but I won't). I think the difference is that it's great as long as only one organisation is doing it, but ridiculous and polluting when a hundred organisations are doing it.
