Today I tidied and vacuumed the front bedroom for the first time since, er, we moved in ... last February. The carpet was fantastically well-preserved under the layer of dust. The stairs are no longer slippery and I no longer get an asthma attack going up and down them. Er, good!

The seven basic blog posts covered EXACTLY what I was going to post about today. It was much funnier than what I was going post. Thanks for saving me the trouble ;)

That Microsoft thing is a horrifying tale of how far the degradation of the human spirit can go. In its own way, this is worse than the Stanford prison experiment: remember, this guy started out as a bright and enthusiastic programmer who believed that both he and the world were rational, and had hoped to make a difference.

I'm surprised that none of your other readers commented on the article linked to by "Why abortion needs to be legal." There are very few things that I read that make me feel like I may lose the lunch I'm in the process of eating. That retired doctor's worst example is now on that list. The rest of the opinion piece was an eye opener as well- I'd never read such a detailed list of the various things that can go wrong in an illegal abortion before.
