... the week has started with something resembling sanity. Went to Camden on Sunday with [livejournal.com profile] mikz and [livejournal.com profile] clairaide, got my money back on the poxy Black Rose trousers - here's to being a whiny little bitch! - wandered around the Stables markets failing to find the candle shop Mik was after, hit the Purple Turtle Fetish Market (not bloody much stuff, though what they had looks good - and there's a whole rack of second-hand PVC jeans real cheap, if you want something shiny and are lucky in the sizes), dinner at Super Bowl Noodle Bar (incompetent service, good food - if they're open, don't even think about the sub-Dibbler kebab shops on either side), got an impossibly cute leather bikini for [livejournal.com profile] clairaide, and then to the Dev (howdy to [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth, [livejournal.com profile] pure_mourning and [livejournal.com profile] _alexandra_). See Mik and Rose's own reports.

Oh, and Ikea called back about the bed. They will apparently collect and refund. Whiny Little Bitch 2, World 0. Go me!

The backup fucked up again, but there wasn't the exciting workplace politics feared. (A pity, actually, as they would have been useful leverage to set up a separate backup server ... it's still time to put a proposal together, but.) Today has been pleasantly dozy.

There is apparently no such thing as 'overtime'. There is, however, something called 'special project payment', which will show up in my November pay packet. We wouldn't want sysadmins to think there was such a thing as overtime, after all.
