Music: any Church album recorded after 1990 is complete shite. Tedious stoner hippy noodling with no songs at all and far too much pot. (For their last hurrah of non-shitness, have the Gold Afternoon Fix demos.) I did finally rip the Birthday Party live DVD that redcountess bought me four years ago so I'd actually watch any of it ever. It's pretty damn good, actually.

My friend, TJ Leyden, wrote about the racists for Obama on his Facebook. He's the dude that American History X was made after...great writer and speaker. He's also republican. It was a shocking article, in my opinion. But I wonder how much of it is hype. I also wonder if it isn't racist to point out that racists like Obama. I mean, who cares?

'Gold Afternoon Fix' has the two singles which were quite good ("You're Still Beautiful" is a personal fave) Bugger.

"Sometime Anywhere" or "Priest=Aura" might have had a good song or two, but I honestly cannot recall.

No. No good songs at all. After Gold Afternoon Fix, I was really happy to get Priest = Aura in the post, then I played it and couldn't remember a note. Went "wha ... ?" and played it again. All 70 minutes. One bong too many, man. One bong too many.

(audiovile's XM radio played a track from it once when I was over there, and apparently I'd found it not-entirely-horrible enough at the time to investigate further; “Ripple”, IIRC.)

It's this one - readily available, though strikes me as pricey. I ripped it to DivX-in-AVI for viewing in VLC. I can post you a copy of the DVD itself easily enough if you can't get a copy. It's region-free as well. The video is handheld VHS quality, but the music's great.
