Prisoner FF8282 is still in jail. And he doesn't like the food. And is no longer welcome at the cricket.

Update: Now active: [livejournal.com profile] ff8282. Remember to stay in correct style. There is also a handy icon.

Jeff Archer is a British politician of the right-wing and reactionary bent, who was put away for perjury and attempting to pervert the cause of justice due to some dodgy dealings a few years back. He's unctuous, a well-known philanderer and purveyor of truly trashy 'political thrillers' His wife was famously described as 'fragrant'.

General consensus is that he got what was coming to him, and we're all taking a certain schadenfreude in the chronicles of his adventures behind bars.

I thought you could create a shared journal, but I can't find how to do it now. I'm sure I did it for the journal I use to test new colour schemes and code.

A plan forms in my head.

Updates on bad food and towels everyday, in super-bad prose. Not sure if it should be an archer-esque telling of someone else's day, or a mock-up of his own.

I rather like the idea of relating a standard day's happenings in the clipped, mostly bare, sometimes overblown sorry excuse for prose that ff8282 summons from the depths of somewhere really nasty.

" I travelled to work on the tube this morning - deeply unpleasant. I understand from Carole that a phone number on the site is incorrect. I strived to find it, but to no avail. Lunch was bland. "

I read some choice extracts in Private Eye. I could probably manage to read a paragraph at a time, but any more than that would see my brain leaking out my ears and onto my rather pretty cardigan[1].

It's not that difficult a style to emulate, judging from what I've read. Y'see, he's not all that good a writer.

And here I was, thinking you may have been referring to a certain Mr M. Chapman. He's also still in jail, I am happy to note. ;)

Ah, blessed be the parole panels...
