The girls' stuff arrived yesterday. The house is a sea of boxes again. They're downstairs in their room sorting and culling and shouting at each other; I'm imagining cameras and a laugh track.. We are now able to get to the front door again. The piano didn't come with this lot after all, which will be expensive but is probably just as well given how full the house is. arkady are busy upstairs distilling her stuff.

I was hoping to go out last night (a pub) or tonight (fireworks at Ally Pally with redcountess), but neither is a happener, so it's a quiet night in! Tomorrow is a long-awaited date with nyecamden.

I haven't read LiveJournal in the past two weeks and have no idea when I next will be. Please let me know by some sort of direct message if there's an event you want to tell me about.

I had my ablation yesterday and felt them cauterize part of the inside of my heart.

The operation didn't suck half as much as the lack of care I got afterward, which was made all the more apparent by the doting care given to the woman in the bed next to mine. We were in for basically the same thing and expected to leave in about the same amount of time, so it isn't because she needed it more than I did.

I am at home feeling kinda shitty, but basically ok. They said that my heart would feel twitchy for a few days, but that I should expect to enjoy a normal rhythm after it has settled down. We'll see how it goes.

I got laid off and did a road trip

We were stopped by a highway patrolman in Kansas when I changed my mind.

Other than that, I continue to be unemployed and putting things on the credit card when necessary.

I can't collect anything until I'm 63, in somewhat less than three years. I'm ready to be independently poor again.
