Man o' action.
Dec. 27th, 2008 11:30 pmThe Fujifilm F100fd is not as good for low light as the F20/30/31fd, but it's the best these days. If you want something robust but slightly bigger, Panasonix TX3 is the current best superzoom.

Tomorrow is
arkady's birthday. We are all going to the Pembury around 3pm. You are invited.
I shall see
nyecamden there, after far too long. Namecheck namecheck!
Fredamas was Fredamas. In The Night Garden DVDs and cuddly Iggle Piggle, Upsy-Daisy and Makka-Pakka (she waves Upsy-Daisy at the screen when she's doing the gazebo dance at the end), cuddly Lola from Charlie and Lola, red Hello Kitty shirt and red skirt and red tights and piles of other clothes. And a VTech Baby's Laptop, designed by the same mad child psychologists who designed her robot companion. Same voice actor too. I wonder who she is.
Arkady,
redcountess and I did more house rebuilding today. Anyone with a car who can help us get several boxes from here to the Salvation Army on Forest Road?

I should note that there's no roast tomorrow; the kitchen will be open 12–3 and 6–9 as on a normal weekday. Simon took 25th–27th off and so has not had time to prepare.

Date: 2008-12-28 10:43 am (UTC)We don't really care which charity shop, whichever one the driver prefers is just fine by us! We'd just rather not just trash it all. Toys, knick-knacks, outgrown baby clothes, unwanted adult clothes, the girls' stuff that should never have been shipped over from Wales ...

Date: 2008-12-28 05:16 pm (UTC)I got one of those recently, and it's vastly better in dynamic range and image quality from my Fujifilm F45fd (despite the F45fd ostensibly having lower pixel density and a Fujifilm SuperCCD); I'm guessing the large f/2.0 lens has a lot to do with it. In fact, it's the first compact camera I've had that feels like a worthy successor to my PowerShot G2, rather than a compromise.
