Tomorrow is [livejournal.com profile] arkady's birthday. We are all going to the Pembury around 3pm. You are invited.

I shall see [livejournal.com profile] nyecamden there, after far too long. Namecheck namecheck!

Fredamas was Fredamas. In The Night Garden DVDs and cuddly Iggle Piggle, Upsy-Daisy and Makka-Pakka (she waves Upsy-Daisy at the screen when she's doing the gazebo dance at the end), cuddly Lola from Charlie and Lola, red Hello Kitty shirt and red skirt and red tights and piles of other clothes. And a VTech Baby's Laptop, designed by the same mad child psychologists who designed her robot companion. Same voice actor too. I wonder who she is.

Arkady, [livejournal.com profile] redcountess and I did more house rebuilding today. Anyone with a car who can help us get several boxes from here to the Salvation Army on Forest Road?

Ah, this explains why I haven't seen any NotN via LJ lately: it's “Too big” for the syndication thing. Whatever that means.

I shall be there.

I should note that there's no roast tomorrow; the kitchen will be open 12–3 and 6–9 as on a normal weekday. Simon took 25th–27th off and so has not had time to prepare.

[livejournal.com profile] malwen might be able to take some stuff down to the Sally Army for you. They won't be open today though, will they? I'll ask him. We have taken approx 5 carloads to charity shop (Scope for us normally) or tip so far.

OK, we're happy to help. Will need to be Tuesday because we're off to Lakeside or Bluewater or something like that for the day tomorrow.

Cheers

Alison

Based on our experience, I think they're all happy to take a carload of random crap (provided it's usable items not actual rubbish of course); we think Sally Army is a lot easier to park by though, so that's probably the best choice if you really do have a car full.

I realise I don't have proper contact details for you -- I know you're just round the corner. We'll plan for Tuesday morning. My contact details are here (http://bohemiancoast.livejournal.com/21148.html).

TX3? You mean the LX3?

I got one of those recently, and it's vastly better in dynamic range and image quality from my Fujifilm F45fd (despite the F45fd ostensibly having lower pixel density and a Fujifilm SuperCCD); I'm guessing the large f/2.0 lens has a lot to do with it. In fact, it's the first compact camera I've had that feels like a worthy successor to my PowerShot G2, rather than a compromise.
