Going on call from tomorrow evening. So I'm at home all weekend and every evening until next Friday morning. Saturday is Vagabonds!

Stopped at [livejournal.com profile] pndc and [livejournal.com profile] elpenguin's lovely new flat yesterday to drink their beer and take away their old household boat anchor, a 2004 Athlon XP with 1GB memory and the beige front panel spraypainted purple that apparently does a party-stopping impression of a jet engine. That's just what we need here, is another computer. I have vague plans to use it for unspecified evil. I might try home-made dust filters and shove it in the cupboard under the stairs as a household server.

Families don't sit around all watching a television in the corner any more. These days they each have their own.

Freda has taken to feeding us invisible food and demanding we feed her invisible food. This is a deeply hilarious game.

I hope that "one television per person" is not an upper bound, otherwise I'm going to be a bit stuffed having bought myself a new one on Monday. For reasons that are not, as yet, divulged, but... aaaanyway.

In other news, congratulations on making me feel like a dirty old man. *mutters* :-/

Academics to predict the "next big thing"

I predict that sex will catch on and some day primates will become almost worryingly obsessive about it. Also we will one day fly helicopters on the moon. Mainly the sex thing though, I'm pretty sure of that.

Hmm... that would be an improvement over my current situation where I have neither but do not have time to do mathematics.

I think this would not facilitate my ability to do good maths. Probably quite the reverse.
