Saturday is Cleaning Day! Today it finally clicked that the reason I collapse gasping every time I attempt a serious clean here is because the house is so foul that disturbing the foulness at all kicks it up and into my lungs. This is not a reason to desist, however. Does anyone have recommendations for paid cleaners? Or, better yet, a desire to accept cash for house cleaning?

It's been a dull week and no mistake. Also, we're broke, so no Reptile for me. Also, I've spent the week in plant bukkake exhaustion anyway.

Reasons to copy all your entries from LJ to DW: there's text search for individual journals here (on paid ones). Refreshing after not even Google working reliably on LJ. Now all I need is to *cough* pay for my DW account. Update: A month paid for by [personal profile] damned_colonial *smooooch*

Carpeted everywhere except kitchen and bathroom - and no, ditching the carpets isn't an option; we're renting and have no choice or say in the matter.

Then you don't have much options, other than going for an expensive vacuum cleaner with a really good filter, I'm afraid, if you want to reduce allergic reactions against cleaning.
Slightly moisturizing the carpets before vacuuming helps a little, but it's not a lot, and, frankly, not worth the hassle (for me, with an allergy against dust mite excrements only, that is).

If they're using the Bush upright Diva and I got as a wedding present it has a HEPA filter, but after all this time that will need replacing.
