I have the Mini 9 using the old SSD. Much happier now, thank you.

Spent most of last week flat on my back ill. I was so bored I kept thinking of stuff I'd be doing at work. Saw a pile of Wikimedians on their way to Gdansk on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I have pictures and will post to my Wikimedia blog at some stage.

The house is now being cleaned a bit regularly. Holy crap, I can breathe! Also, switching off the teenagers' Internet when their rooms start smelling funny is a marvellously effective method of focusing their concentration.

For the first time in three years, Freda put up with being babysat by me so [personal profile] arkady could go out without her! We're working her up to us being able to go out together ...

Pictures up from Invocation on 19th June. It's like the Minories has suddenly popped into my awareness and there's immediately nowhere else.

Although this Friday [livejournal.com profile] nyecamden and I plan to go to Departure at the Elixir Bar in Camden. Anyone know if it's actually on? Anyone else going? Update: Arkady is out Friday now, we are going to hang out with gay perverts who can't spell on Saturday.

Arkady has started writing fanfic. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I BLAME YOU [personal profile] damned_colonial AND GOD WILL GET YOU FOR THIS.

ahahahhaha!

I have them open in tabs and need to read and comment... this is what I get for taking most of the weekend off from the internets. *eyes firefox tab sidebar sadly*

Oops! I've been rather prolific, too; fourth one went up this evening. I'm averaging about 1500 words a day.

I keep expecting to run into a creative block and feeling faintly bemused that I haven't yet.

Are you getting feedback/comments? I hope so! You could also crosspost/announce them on [community profile] holmes_watson if you wanted to.

Mostly along the lines of "like much, post more!"; [livejournal.com profile] pennies_4_eyes was delighted with my fic prompted by one of her pieces of art which was quite gratifying. I've been posting them on [livejournal.com profile] holmeswatson09 in addition to my own LJ/DW; I'm keen on all the feedback I can though, so may well crosspost to [community profile] holmes_watson. :-)

At the moment I've just been meandering through [livejournal.com profile] shkinkmeme looking for inspiring prompts. I suspect my most recent fill ("Reproach") wasn't quite what the OP had in mind, but I can't quite bring myself to write slash just yet, if at all.

We have American guests. We may drop into Departure if they want to/if we have the energy.

Diva and I aren't going to Departure on Friday, we're going to a seedy fun place on Sat instead.

Oh, of course! I keep meaning to go, but I'm not sure if that'll happen this w/e, or if my guests are in the mood for such stuff; they make just want some cheesy goth dancing. Do report back though, won't you?
