And to think I used to think buying records was important. Not having access to a washing machine or the launderette this weekend, I got manly, accessed my super Dad powers and handwashed two loads in the bathtub. The mangle is a deeply underappreciated piece of kit these days.

Today I revel in the working-from-home friendliness of my job while arkady sleeps off incipient migraines upstairs. It's annoying in that Monday is actually a useful day to be in the office. Also to tune my hearing so as to pick up key words muttered by co-workers at twenty metres that will cause interesting phenomena in my life. I think I just said I wished I could have been at work first thing on a Monday morning.
