I went down the pub tonight for much-required reasons of sanity. Cheers to ali_in_london, montag, abigailb, ewtikins, pfy, Claire and even lusciousa, who I think i haven't seen in at least five years.

Both Rayner and Kathryn laughed out loud at the idea that arkady thinks of herself as shy and retiring. At least I'm vaguely aware of coming across as a human steamroller.

It's pretty much irrelevant whether other people believe I'm shy or not; the fact is that I am. If they don't believe that, it simply shows how successful I've been in hiding it.
