X-AMAZON-TRACK: <fun@thingy.apana.org.au>Thank you for contacting us at Amazon.co.uk.
First, let me apologise for this apparent mix-up during packing. I have placed a new order #xxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx for the correct item, "The Ethical Slut: a Guide to Infinite Sexual Possibilities" and it will be dispatched as soon as possible to the same address via Royal Mail. There will of course be no additional charge for this replacement order.
Please note that this item is listed on our Web site with an availability estimate of 24 hours. On the date of dispatch, we will notify you by e-mail at the time the order is sent out to confirm the date, contents and method of delivery.
As the cost of return of the package is prohibitively expensive in this case, we ask that you keep the item with our compliments. Perhaps you would wish to donate it to a school or library in your area if you felt it would be appropriate to do so.
The staff at our Fulfilment Centre are trying to ensure that this kind of situation is not repeated. It would be of great help to us if you would let us know the stamp identification number that was on the packaging eg: B070 or C1020.
Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience. We hope that you will allow us another opportunity to prove the quality of our service to you in the future.
Warmest regards,
Jennifer Duff-Cole

Amazon.co.uk--and you're done
Apparently the book is actually in stock as well, so might even arrive before Christmas ...
(Update: They just emailed to say it's shipped. Let's see what the Amazon book lottery turns up this time!)
And Ikea came around to fetch the wrong mattress; we'll see what happens next.
Update: The correct book reached its intended recipient, and they were very pleased with it indeed.
