Freda has started school! So far it's exhausting her. Good. Now I deeply understand parental dread of the holidays.

I have made the soundtrack for something to amuse Freda and annoy you. Forward it to your friends! Waiting on [profile] arkadyrose to draw an 8-bit parasaurolophus farting rainbows.

More Wikipedia obscurities: Manufactured Romance, Berlin Blondes. Manufactured Romance are actually surprisingly good pop-punk.

In an amazing occurrence, I plan to leave the house tonight and go to a party. See you there, perhaps.

Yr (accidental?) use of organ patch leads me to think that I would like to hear that piece played by a fairground organ.

Actually, I would like to see/hear a fairground organ render a selection of post-punk, EBM and techno classics.

I have to say that I think bloke's prices are a bit steep. Doepfer will do you one of these: http://www.doepfer.de/mtc.htm + a relay board, which you can drive from a sequencer.

God. We had a harmonium in a barn when I were a teenager. Admittedly it was in the barn because it died of damp from its previous home (St. Martin's, Charlton Abbotts) but still.

I am keeping vast swathes of Google+ whining off here. But here's a summary.

Gosh. Things haven't gotten better over there? That shows bloody-mindedness.

And I have learned about Scroogle, which I am excited by.

Bing? *pish*

I'm enjoying the Manufactured Romance songs, somewhat.
But I thought Conservapedia was a joke. It... isn't?

It was sincerely founded. It is also a den of trolls, because trolls are better at appearing to agree with the Assfly than genuine contributors.

DuckDuckGo is rather good. I started using it even before the plus thing. One of the neat things about it is you can just put "!g " in front of a search if duckduckgo fails you and it will do a search on google. (or !gi for google images, !imdb for imdb, !yt for youtube, !w for wikipedia, !amuk for amazon, etc). That makes it really good to use if you like having a single text entry box for all your internet. At work, where sometimes I use google-homed machines I find myself typing "!w Cerium" or "!amuk no snow on the broken bridge" and being amazed at how that doesn't work and how many times I have to click and different pages I must see and how primitive it all is!
