Crassmas shopping.
Dec. 23rd, 2002 05:24 pmBut first, the news.
Infrared photography (courtesy
hbergeron) - quite a lot of digital cameras and video cameras do near-infrared. Contains nature, nudes and nudes in nature.A spam carol.
Remember those Canadians bombed by the USAF in Afghanistan?
Lord of the Rings by other authors.
Happy birthday to
teknoirangel and
squiddity.
Finally got my Commercialmas shopping out the way in Camden yesterday for the household. (Since three of the four read this, I will tell you later what I bought. I was particularly pleased with one find, and am just waiting for the recipient to open it so I can tell you all.) A few refreshing ales in t' Dev after with
cyberpunkgrrl, Fallen,
alixandrea and
darkgoblin.
I was "working" today and am "working" tomorrow and Friday. Wednesday is a dinner at home, and Thursday is a two-party kind of day (health allowing), with myself and Liz attending upon
marnameow and
sbp and then
naughtypixie and
juliann.
I am seriously contemplating the Jenoptik JD2100f - I was reluctant to get it as it wouldn't arrive before Liz returned to Australia, but I find myself liking the idea of it more and more. And it talks to Linux, so FreeBSD should be at least feasible. Experiences, anyone?
I expect I should go and do some work now ... ahh, why spoil it.

Date: 2002-12-23 04:56 pm (UTC)In other news, the Purds has the XBox mod chip. Adam!

Date: 2002-12-23 05:08 pm (UTC)Yeah, but that's another bit of hardware to buy.
"XBox mod chip. Adam!"
Ah, so you've gone with calling it Adam after all?

Date: 2002-12-23 05:43 pm (UTC)I think Adam is the right name for the XBox. I've been thinking it over a little too much, and Snider is more suited to a sacrificial Windoze box.

Date: 2002-12-24 10:52 am (UTC)Scarier again is that we *think* about this, and there are reasons behind the names.
Now you'll have us pegged as the worst Buffy/pooter geek crossovers and run screaming from me.

Date: 2002-12-24 10:59 am (UTC)Ooh - moloch, who is the hosted box, is called moloch because he's on the internet. It made more sense pre-dsl I think.
