Ehh ... whatever.

;-)

I go past Hyde Park to get to work. It is SO BEAUTIFUL this morning.

In happy news, the memory was waiting for me on the stairs this morning, and I just got a call from [livejournal.com profile] marnameow - my camera has arrived! Except, of course, that the dumb fucks sent it to the billing address (her place) rather than the delivery address (my place). Will fetch it from her this evening.

I warn you now: no soul at B-Movie is safe from capture!

On Saturday, I have an appointment to look at a flat in Camden for myself and [livejournal.com profile] ladylilith. Two bedrooms, £220pw, hopefully not a complete shithole. This means I need to simulate not merely life, but respectability, by 1pm. After B-Movie. This'll be fun.

Update, 11:59am: Crikey, it's bucketing down. My boss is already planning an inter-office snowball fight. Must buy a scarf at lunch.

I used to read about all of these cool things happening in London and be all jealous, but if there are cameras at large maybe it's for the best that I for one stay well away.
This is why:

Normally I'm quite careful around people with cameras.....

Our office is three floors up with a whole row of massive windows on the south side, so I've got a great view. The mental age of my office has now dropped to about 8. It's been decided that if the snowman build at lunchtime is given some kind of corporate branding then it would actually count as work.

£220pw sounds a lot but then I'm converting from AUD :-)

So would Camden be similar in cost=>quality ratio as something like St Kilda or Richmond?

I've always been warned that London was expensive. It was that the purchase ratio was about $=£ (so it costs $5 in Aus it will cost £5 in the UK) but that the wage difference was significant. I think your average casual bar employee makes about £4 an hour if they're lucky.

Which would explain the number of houses holding 10 work-vista tourists in their 2 bedroom accomidation :-)
