Kiki & Herb (seen with [livejournal.com profile] marnameow, [livejournal.com profile] sbp, [livejournal.com profile] atommickbrane, [livejournal.com profile] kikunohana and [livejournal.com profile] polyvinyl and her impossibly cool punk rock friend Karen) were one of the finest things I have ever had the privilege of seeing, and I would feel the same way even if I hadn't gotten sloshed on Jack Frost at the Ship beforehand. Their press clippings page will give you the idea. REMEMBER THE NAME. SEE THEM AT THE NEXT POSSIBLE OPPORTUNITY.

Had a nice play with the camera this evening. gPhoto2 supports the A40, and I even beat version 2.1 into installing. Now I just need to work out where the feck the USB driver puts it in the /dev tree. Bah. But THE CAMERA WORKS and your souls WILL be captured electronically. And this time the pics might even see webbing.

I never did get around to writing up B-Movie last month. B-Movie is where old goths get to go if they've been very, very good indeed. This month is 'eighties night', but I'm sure we can lynch the DJ if it starts sucking. So who's coming tonight?

Sadly, B Movie is attracting more and more people who are there for the people, not for the music... I wish it clashed with a hardcore DOOFDOOF techno bollocks night or something :(

The reason I go to B Movie is for the music. The first few B Movies, everybody was there for the music, it was a great crowd of people I haven't seen for ages, and everybody was wandering around with these huge shiteating grins because of the choonz.

Now it seems that people are there in spite of the music - I've heard a few comments of "It's good to go there for the people, but the music sucks". And really, those sort of people I can see at Sluts meets. Sure, it's good to see them anyway, but it does lower the overall perkiness of the night.

And frankly, I'll take good music over good people any time. I can get good people elsewhere; good music is much harder to come by.

Yeah, B Movie is like concentrated Essence of Goth!

I quite like the music, actually, but it only seems appropriate to reach that level of silliness for Whitby 80s Night, not some thingy in a pub in London. It might be better suited to an extra floor in a bleepy/goth/etc club...

I had planned to go tonight, but I'm feeling really ill this morning, so I guess I'll have to see how I feel later.

Insert usual guff about being in Bristol, too tired and having to work tomorrow morning.

One of these months I'll take Friday off and switch my Saturday shift to Sunday. But not this month - I'm not risking my health for something that could turn out to be wall to wall 80s cheese.

Where dodgy goths go to re-live the terrible times they had in the eighties?? That takes me back!

Nice to meet you - sorry we didn't get to chat much, I didn't realise the Ship was quite so restrictive on larger crowds...

That place so needs me to play records... *twitches*

The tally of not one but TWO CARTER TRACKS is unforgiveable! Unless they're intentionally placed there to get me off the dancefloor due to pissed Dancing Like Arse (not that I have ever been there obv).

What Sexbat really needs is far too nasty even for the sadistic hordes that frequent Livejournal...

And although I love it, and I always dance to it, when o when {/points of view} will DJ's remember that them Buzzcocks did OTHER SONGS apart from Ever fallen in love...?

Bah, I actually want to go dancing a lot but sadly finances do not permit. Looks like I twirl around my bedroom to the sounds of Kate Bush again...

So, as I said, if it sucks, we can always lynch them.
Oooh a hanging party! Seeing as I'm free this Friday I might even go along now. A lot cheaper than going all the way to Whitby to lynch someone >;-)

B-movie. I've just read the previous playlists. Pixies and NMA and DKs and Revolting Cocks and Sultans. David, whyfor you not drag me with you to this place *ages* ago?
