My parents visited this afternoon. The granddaughter passed inspection. She got yet more cuddly toys and a tray of wooden blocks to scatter across the floor and under the couch. And a rainbow lorikeet hand puppet, which immediately attacked arkady.

The floor in the toilet is not made of chipboard. It's made of plywood. As is the joist, which has also rotted. The cistern now does not so much leak as gush, but the bloke who came around today installed a handy drain, i.e. the gaping hole in the floor. Hilarity ensues.
