[Poll #104407]

So I expect to be notably poorer on a continuing basis. Don't expect to see me out nearly as much. But for good reasons. Looks like I get her promised present after all.

(Oh, and as for the forty-odd *pint*s - I fully intend to collect every last one of them. A *pint* is a serious obligation!)

Ummm, snow is pointless and depressing as well (not to mention damn annoying in a wheelchair)... it just has a charming quality of blanketing the world with white so we momentarily forget the gritty grey ugliness underneath, which actually just makes me more depressed by it. :)

Yes, I am going to have to get a very sturdy pair of boots and take my stick when it snows :-/

err... a stick with a rubber end (like most of the ones the doctors give you) is much worse on snow than no stick at all. Be sure to have something spikey. :)

Yes, I have a folding stick with a rubber stopper :-)

They are advertising Yakka steel capped work boots for $60 in K-mart, and one of the styles available are nice black lace up ones with cushioning around the ankles. If they're not too heavy I will definitely invest in a pair.

Err, I think what I got you would fill a pint glass. Probably not the best idea though.

Happy Birthday.

Indeed it is. Next time I see you I will remember that.
