The George Inn is nice but too small inside and too briskly spring outside. Second pub (whatever the hell it was called) has good beer but no food unless you're inordinately fond of lard. Nicked off to Pizza Express at one stage. kitty_goth kept getting calls from work while we pointed and went <nelson>HA-ha!</nelson> wintrmute, Daish and I were Australian at people. Found 'mentalist' used to describe the Raelians in this fortnight's Private Eye.

redcountess just worked out a household budget for us. The one she has shows us having a grand total of seventy pounds per month for casual and entertainment expenses. Between us. Eeek!

I have no idea what on earth is up with rocknerd.org. I've emailed Ben, but haven't had a reply yet.

Tonight: off to marnameow and sbp's to see about CompactFlash recovery. Update: Here's hoping it's not actually a defective CF card. Sean has extracted the first 90 megabytes, and will be trawling through that for JPEG headers. Fingers crossed.

Rocknerd update 2: Now in touch with the webmaster and negotiating the return. Rocknerd was a year behind in hosting fees - Aus$786.50. Eegh ... time to set up a suitable donations begging box, I suspect. TIMING!
