That's so wrong it's just got to be ... wrong.
Club shots are far too nonuniform to script further - levels and cropping by hand, re-crop some from original large image, then scripts to sharpen and produce the final JPEGs and an initial index page. But judicious scripting does save considerable effort.
Mind you, this batch of photos is teh suxx0r - grainy as hell with crappy colour, many shots having come out simply unusable. I'm suspecting the amount of smoke in the place fouling up the white balance and flash.
Saturday night pub good. I walked in expecting just to find
shekhmet and
duranorak to discover the far end table
filled to the brim with the usual netscum. Everyone except me was going to
Slimelight, of course. Had a pint and realised I was still trashed from the
previous night, so Coke and cloves thereafter. (CLOVES!!!) Stayed curled up
in a corner with
duranorak, sipping our sugar water and
observing the crowd.
Today is a Quiet Day In. Caffeine, geeking, working out what I need to have together for the Return of the chix0r ...

Date: 2003-03-02 10:57 am (UTC)Possibly - I've not had smoke foul up photos. Might it have something to do with much of the detail being in the low-order few bits of each pixel, in the textures of black and so on? Any automatic balancing, by you or by the camera, will make noise in the image more obvious when it tries to bring out more of the detail in the black. Did you use automatic white balance, or did you fix the white balance to be "flash" ?
Goths are hard to photograph :)

Getting them to pose is often no effort whatsoever ;-)
