Sending back camera tomorrow. I say tomorrow because tonight [livejournal.com profile] arkady and I are going to the Dev (and you are most welcome also; I expect to show some time after 6:30pm) and the DAMN CAMERA HAS STARTED WORKING AGAIN. Bastard! BASTARD!

(If Canon promptly return it saying "works for me," I shall track them down and kill them.)

Would anyone like the mini-Pirelli calendar that came with Esquire January 2003? Liz bought the magazine (which does verge on readable) thinking the calendar wouldn't be sucky. We had it up on the bathroom wall for all of a day before the postmodernist humour potential was thoroughly exhausted. ("Oh look, an airbrushed bum. Ha.") The only model in it I've heard of is Sophie Dahl, and her shot is so no great shakes. Yours for the price of coming and taking it away.

I've just sent you a text r.e. [livejournal.com profile] mircea - if she asks for my mobile number, you have my permission to pass it on. I'm afraid she's had some really bad news and it came via my LJ. :-/

Next time you want an insert from esquire it would be much cheaper to ask t to liberate one. Unless the advertisers have been stupid and sent them fewer inserts than copies they have in that press run.

Speaking of calendars..

I have a really nice Courtney Love, going cheap. And a fine portrait of Anna-Nicole Smith, just screaming for a suitable toilet to adorn

IBM get like that when you whine about broken HDDs. Next time it flares-up, I'll fsck it up good'n'proper with 14kV before sending it back cos of the damn INTERMITTENT FAULT. (Okay, I've stopped foaming at the mouth, move-along chumps.)

The moral of the story: if returning electronic stuff for warranty purposes, make sure the item is dead beyond question, cos service departments are utter weasels, second only to market-droids.
