Memory.

Looking through old Melbourne photos last night with redcountess and arkady. I miss so many of you so very much.

There are large holes in my memory from late 2001 and early 2002. I remember faces but not names in so many of the pictures. I don't remember events from the time well - I remember the surface, but there's a lack of detail and there's gaps. This is profoundly disquieting.

I also wonder how the hell I managed my assortment of lovers in 2001 - not just bonks, but ongoing relationships. I must have been having some sort of brainwave of polyamory superpowers. Or I was just ridiculously lucky. Which may be a distinction without a difference.

I do miss living somewhere that has space. London is far too densely packed.

(The dense packing is the real reason I don't like Sydney.)

Of course, with that comes living on the edge of boredom.

At the risk of being indiscreet, might I suggest that the reason that your memory got a bit fuzzy around that time period could be because you were unwell?

Stress and depression take a toll: your body and mind were concentrating on coping and it's not surprising that other, non-essential functions were toned down.

And of course you miss us! It's only to be expected. - we're fabulous and miss you too!

PS, had dinner with Karina on Friday night at her new place: Squee is as demanding as ever, and adores love and attention and Diva is well, Diva. Both are well and happy and settling into domesticity well. They asked me to send their love.
