Second round of interview questions when I've gathered a few more. For now, the B-Movie Poll!

[Poll #145204]

It's been another domestic week. I have a busily dull life. Tonight [livejournal.com profile] arkady came over and fed [livejournal.com profile] redcountess and I steak. The wedding is coming together - must book pub for reception. (I fear you will be buying your own drinks, because we is po'.) We're having the most appalling string of beautiful spring summer's spring days. Our flat is a lemon even unto the garden, which is infested with deadly nightshade. (Crack open the Agent Orange!) We are ridiculously broke - if I'm going to be this poor, I should at least get to be unemployed as well. I mean, really. But life clatters along with lots of good bits.

Personally buying my own drinks'd not be much of a problem, after all I only drink lemonade or similar beverages. And Paul doesn't drink (much).

I will agree with you on the point about being gainfully employed and being broke; it sucks far worse than being unemployed. Bill collectors tend to back off a little when you say you have been laid off, but if you say you are working then they don't care if you don't have any place to live so long as you pay them their money.

Two points to hopefully make you feel better about not having an open bar:

1. If I could, and were invited to, I would still go with no open bar.

2. I went to a posh wedding about 10 months ago and because it was so posh they ran out of money before the bar tab and thus did not have an open bar, I still had fun and thought it was a beautiful wedding.

The ultimate thing to keep in mind is that it's just one day, no need to get yourself into serious debt over it. That's no way to start out a solid marriage.

but, deadly nightshade is beautiful!
Call it by it's latin name (Belladonna, the Beautiful Lady) if it makes you feel any better about it.

To echo - I don't think anyone will mind if they have to buy their own drinks!

[laughs] Well, it could be entertaining...

And I do now feel compelled to say:
I'm a Barbie girl in the Barbie world
Life in plastic, it's fantastic
You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation

I'm a blonde single girl in the fantasy world
Dress me up, take your time, I'm your dollie
You're my doll, rock and roll, feel the glamour and pain
Kiss me here, touch me there, hanky-panky

You can touch, you can play
You can say I'm always yours, oooh whoa

ps: I have no idea. You started it!
