This week has consisted of cosy domesticity with ups and downs and being ill. Cough, hack, splutter. This morning, with the assistance of the noble latexiron, his Range Rover and his BIG ORANGE STRAPS, the damned mattress was shifted from Hendon to Walthamstow. At last. Thanks to ewtikins for her tolerance of its presence these, er, months. If only we'd had the presence of mind to prepare a cloth dummy to place atop the mattress for the trip on the North Circular.

I have a l33t new Oyster Card. It goes "BLEEP!" when you swipe it across the big yellow button. And confuses the tourists.

I've emailed a query in, asking if I can get outside-the-zones validity. I suppose I could get a Zone 1 Annual though and just buy my National Rail season ticket to Euston...
