Saturday I went to the Wikipedia (motto: Unemployed Ph.D Deathmatch!) meetup. redcountess was too ill to attend, but arkady came with me, and vampwillow was there and undoubtedly many other people with LJ usernames. We worked out the secret cabal to take over the WORLD using an open-content encyclopedia. Assuming no-one reverts the change.

We have wireless! We also have DVD, but it crashes Windows 2000 in stream.sys. Meh. We'll be trying again with 98.

I got my Free Software Foundation membership in the post yesterday morning. With Linux GNU/Linux bootable business card!

My cloves have arrived! With no duty on them! I strongly recommend getting the tins. (Three tins of fifty for US$33, which was charged at £18.74, so that's about £6.25 a tin.) And they are so cute! Mind you, they've finally started labelling them. 35 milligrams. Holy fuck.

Update: Liz has diagnosed the stream.sys problem: the Margi card software blithely trashes the system version and replaces it with a buggy old one. Well done! "This is halloween/Halloween/Halloween ..." Of course, it's still crashing.

Jess was most pleased to get her tin. It took her precisely 3 minutes of them sitting in front of her before she gave in to temptation, opened them up and dived in!

Karen was at the Dev, and admired the tin; she currently has some djarum Blacks that she is making do with until she sees you next. B-Movie seems a likely place. She has green tights but agrees the likelihood of getting you into them is slim. Well, not in the manner we were discussing, anyway. ;-) (This is going to turn into one of those "Oh god, I really wrote that, didn't I?" moments.) You're not really a good candidate for Lincoln Green. It's not your colour. Hee.

It's a shame you couldn't make it to the Dev; it turned into quite the gathering. I shall write it up shortly.
