Ikea strikes again! We got the Journalist shelves but didn't get the crossbraces for the back of them; it looks like they fell off the trolley somewhere between the warehouse and the checkout. _nicolai_ has one spare set, now we need one more. I don't have a desk either, because the metal frame for the bottom of the desktop is the wrong one — we grabbed the one for table extensions, not for desks. So that will actually have to be returned to Fucking Lakeside and exchanged for the right one. ARGH.

(_nicolai_, you wouldn't be heading to Thurrock in the foreseeable future? ...)

I am off work today. I slept through the alarm and woke up at 9am, feeling like I hadn't breathed properly all night; redcountess was kept awake by my snoring. Combining this with the odd dizzy spells I've been having lately (and feeling somewhat lightheaded in general), I'm off to the doctor oh bugger, no I'm not, today is their half day. Fuck. Tomorrow I'm off to the doctor.

I've never met a person that those worked for :( t only snores loudly when he is congrested, so you'd think they'd be perfect for that (opening the nasal passages more so air can flow through better) but still nothing. And forget it if the snoring is actually from the throat, like my dad and best friend.


So glad you are going to get it checked out ASAP, David. If it's apnea it does need dealing with. Which my stupid father won't do so one day he's gonna die in his sleep, I just know it :(

I tried. By the time I get an appointment in March, the NHS will have taken NINETEEN FUCKING MONTHS from first contact. And that's just to go over results from an allergy test last February. I'm quite amazed.

Yeah it took me 2.5 years to get a referral to the HMS clinic. Who took me within 15 weeks once the referral was bloody written.

Look how long it took me to get a referral to a general rheumatology clinic that confirmed it was Fibro on the virst visit!

And I'm worried about him as my ex husband had sleep apnoea and had to go on one of those machines (but he was diagnosed years after we split up), then died from organ failure after an asthma attack
