Liz has, with arkady's support, filled out the forms for Disability Living Allowance. And by crikey it's a sobering form: setting out just how crippled one is on one's worst day. Apart from a small amount of cash to subsidise transport and cleaners, we may be able to get a blue badge and a disabled parking spot, which will help enormously when we finally get a car.

Focusses the mind wonderfully, and not in a good way *passes over stiff drink or plate of chocolatey goodness, as appropriate*. Blue badge very, very useful though.
