It's a girl!

The hospital called arkady today with a spare slot for a scan, so she went in. We've verified the baby will in fact be Freda Elizabeth Ivy:

She's now at 21 weeks 4 days, which is increasingly obvious:

Seb and I have a name for either sex, which we also decided we didn't want to know until the birth. But I'll keep it quiet just a little longer. That's a lovely name. Freda isn't heard of much anymore but is lovely, and the entire name as a whole is very beautiful, lovely choices, guys.

Funnily enough, we'd actually found it harder to think of and agree upon boys' names; I'd had the feeling all along that I was carrying another girl. :-)

Awesome, I'm so pleased for you guys :) Freda was the name I chose originally for my girl kitty, but after using it for a few days, it just didn't seem to suit her so she became Calliope instead. Yay for artistic/literary baby names!

Fabulous names - my younger sister has two middle names partly because of a very trippy letter my maternal grandfather wrote to my mum before Lorna was born. He wanted her named after French vineyards, so Margaux one of her middle names is a tribute to him.

And yes I definitely concur that there are much more interesting names for girls than boys - one can get away with so much more.

Names, probably mine. Though two middle names, why not a hyphenation as well!
