If you want to buy a new compact digital camera and want something that does high ISO, most are selling snake oil. The Fuji F30/F31 is the only one that's any bloody good at all over ISO 400 — even beating the larger Canon S3 and G7. Tho' come to think of it, the ones that have caused me grief have tended to be the secondhand ones off eBay, rather than the bought-from-new ones I've owned.
