That's the title of the forthcoming Deathboy live album. [livejournal.com profile] ladylilith and I made it for the gig, work-printed flyers at the ready. Given that half the audience were there for Deathboy, I think we can regard this as a gig where the headliner opened.

Deathboy were pretty good. I could tell the songs apart this time. There's a great contrast between Scott's songs of deep angst and his charm-laden personable stage presence - expect to see this man on daytime infomercials in twenty years. [livejournal.com profile] gashinryu grabbed the bag of Whitby rock from Scott and threw it to the crowd ... Liz got the first one, the second one actually landed in my jacket pocket. The Garage is a poxy hole - is this place typical of what London has to offer in live venues, or is it an especially bad case?

Deathboy kicked arse playing in their home ground - next is to see how they do at an away game.

Liz was ill so we departed after Deathboy (though the goodbye process was long enough to stretch into the Ju Ju Babies - girly pop, also pretty good). Stopped in Golders Green for a nice Indian meal, then home to sleep our brains out.

Tonight I go to [livejournal.com profile] marnameow and [livejournal.com profile] sbp's to look after the kitties. No Slimes tonight.

I saw Project Pitchfork a while ago at The Garage, and the roof leaked all night. It is a shite venue, and I think it is one of the worst in London.
