I am hideously allergic to marnameow's beautiful cats. I had an asthma attack bad enough to go to A&E in search of Ventolin. (In civilised countries, you can buy Ventolin over the counter. In the UK, Ventolin is apparently a terrorist weapon, and attempting to buy it without a prescription will give you an authentic British Jobsworth Experience, particularly when you're actually in the process of turning a fetching shade of blue in front of them.) ladylilith has made me promise to give up smoking. So if I'm out and bum a cig off you, remember that it's a furtive one.

HEY greap! I'LL QUIT IF YOU DO!

Life with ladylilith is surprisingly wonderful. We're currently working out how to convince the Home Office to let her stay in the country. This will require interesting levels of commitment.

My other half has asthma and allergies, but we don't let that stop us. Every time we get a new pet his asthma gets worse for a couple of weeks but then it settles down once his body gets used to the new levels of allergens in the house. Hope that's what's happening with you!

My kitty-allergies settle down after a bit too. I was very puffy and wheezy and itcy for the first week we had the Bear and the Bot, but I can rub my face in them easily now. And I'm less allergic to other cats that I was before the kitties moved in!
