This Saturday (December 7th) at 1pm, I will be attending a demonstration against the 68 Tottenham Court Road (right next to Goodge St tube) office of the Church of Scientology. More details here.

I haven't bothered with this sort of thing since early 1998, and haven't updated my page on the subject since late 2000. But since I'm here for it, I expect it'll be suitably entertaining and a good and proper way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Also, I don't have to bother organising it myself.

• Why bother at all?
• What's with the clams?

I go past that shop every day. When I first started working in Bloomsbury, I couldn't believe that there actually was a scientology place in the area. I guess it's to catch any vulnerable U of London students.

Being a critic of Scientology gets the chyx and makes you the life of the party. Just tell 'em the story of Xenu and the parable of the clams. Remember to keep a straight face - this is SERIOUS RELIGIOUS SCRIPTURE and not something to be made fun of. We must respect religions just for being religions.
