What you doing on the weekend?

• B-Movie on Friday. Who is going? And who is doing Dead And Buried instead?

• Anti-war march on Saturday. What groups of you lot are going, and where are you meeting?

• "Am I the only one here who didn't like Lord of the Rings? Dreadful piece of hackwork."

I must get photos up quicker, so that my ridiculously vain subjects will not lynch me via LJ and IRC. The current system (load into Gimp, crop, tweak colours, put up) has proven entirely too labour-intensive to be workable long-term. And I can take pictures SO MUCH FASTER with the new toy. Perhaps I should take them more carefully at the time. But that's no fun. This is Unix, I should be able to automate this.

(It does help that no-one seems to give a hoot about shiny index pages just so long as their pic looks good. And it is fun seemingly having become icon merchant to the world.)

Yes. Too much exposure to S-W lunies at young age now makes me allergic to the sight of them and causes Prolonged Rants. I do not know if I am going. So far I have no plans.

I was once asked to join the SWP. The conversation went like this:

Scruffy oik: "Would you like to join the Socialist Worker Party?"
Me: "I'm a self-confessed bourgeois slacker. Why on earth would I want to join the SWP? Go away, you troublesome little man."

We used to organise demos at college. The SWP were welcome bcz they bought fancy banners and a megaphone. What fun!

Then we discovered they were a bunch of rub and I could get a more in-dept vision of socialism from my little toe-nail...

Is it just me, or would Gollum have been more convincing if he wasn't a cgi-beastie, but had been played by Steve Buscemi instead?
