ali_anarres' other purchases today were two
CDs (Spectators by Wolfsheim and her own copy of
Futureperfect by VNV), two books of
Transmetropolitan ... and a DVD player and a copy of Queen Of The Damned. Oh
God.
The only reason this is not the worst movie ever made is because I actually paid money at the cinema to see Battlefield Earth. It is very pretty. I didn't spot as many of my Melbourne cronies as I was hoping to. (To do so will require further viewings, and I really don't want to contemplate such just yet.) Stuart Townsend does much better as a shallow bloodsucker than I expected. If they had included every one of the deleted scenes, the movie might have made sense or something.
We coped with the aid of some of David's Blue Velvet Martini. As our brains tried to batter their way out of our skulls.

At this moment, Ali is outside in the street playing with her poi. She's drunk, poi is addictive. You know how it is. Oh dear, now she's at it in the lounge.
And in the Lara Croft outfit she's threatening to wear to Slimelight:
