Walthamstow flat hunting was productive. The first flat was small but
otherwise lovely, and we're going for it. Stopped by the Dev on the way home
and, of course, was there for hours - j0 to
avalon_bliss,
tintintin,
greap,
perverse_idol,
gothicbarbiecat,
cyberpunkgrrl,
darcy_, Fallen, Rachel, probably a
zillion others I've forgotten ... The camera decided to play up, but came good
by the end of the evening. One day someone will get a pic of
gothicbarbiecat not pulling a face.
By Saturday evening I'd worked out I'd caught
arkady's cold.
*blerk* Up far too early Sunday morning to fetch
redcountess. We walked several miles back and forth through the bowels
of Heathrow Airport but eventually found coffee, cake and a taxi home.
I proceeded to sleep all day. Then sleep all night. I am only at work now so as to save on phone calls from my coworkers. KILLL MEEE.
But I have the girl here!
Update: Liz says she's making dinner tonight, since I'm even sicker than she is. These Australian mail-order brides are good value.

Date: 2003-03-24 04:56 am (UTC)I can't very well get out of this shift right now (though I am currently looking in my contract, because I'm pretty certain that phone calls at home are a no-no anyway - it's deemed officially to constitute harassment, yay, gotta love them union dudes - and that they have to give me a certain amount of notice of a shift change - a voicemail left at 6pm the night before does not constitute adequate notice!!), but I've made it clear I have been very ill and that if I pass out at work I'm sueing their asses off because I'm not 100% recovered yet. And that I may well lose my voice.
Oh, YUCK!! *makes retching sounds* A sweaty, stinky Michael just emerged from his reeking pit of a bedroom trailing a scent of stale alcohol and sweat!! Ugh.
I think I shal go in and dramatically collapse, thus guilt-tripping all concerned that they have dragged me forth off my sickbed. I think just recalling this stench which is currently assailing my delicate nostrils should be enough. Eurgh.
Excuse me whilst I go vomit....

Fingers crossed for getting this flat you've applied for. 'luck! :)
Can't see myself taking an overseas holiday any time soon...any chance you two will be honeymooning in say, ooooh, two months? Hey, I hear Walhalla's really nice at that time of the year... ;)
